So I totally need to update this as often as I do my LJ. Which, ironically enough, is falling behind as well. Not as badly as this one, though.

Right, so, it's been a year. More than a year. Let's start with the summer of '07.

I quit my job in June because my boss was a ho and 'cause I wanted to look for other work. I ended up not being able to find any until.... now. Uh. Well, I wasn't really looking very hard, but also, I was concentrating on school.

School? Yes. School. I got into university, finally, and started in September. The catch? It's on an island, and about six hour's travel from my parents house, both by car and by ferry. Too far to travel every day, not to mention I'd be late for/miss morning classes. The only solution: find a place to live close to school.

AE '07 rolled around in August, and I cosplayed as Aoyagi Seimei from Loveless. Ritsuka's older brother. My hair was already similar to his, all I really had to do was cut it a bit and add ears and baggy clothes. My one friend actually thought I was a guy!

School rolled around, I went off and took random classes that I've always wanted to take. This included Astronomy, Latin, Philosophy, Religion Studies, and a Twentieth-Century History course for kicks. And Band, of course.

Since then, things have been kinda tense between my family and I, mostly because I've known since I came to visit my parents over Christmas hols that I'd never be able to call this house, "home" ever again. My parents are smelly and don't seem to get that because I'm old enough to make decisions, that also means that I don't want to do what they tell me. Mostly because the chores system we've got going is highly flawed.

Also, Thanksgiving last year was a disaster. My aunt and uncle stopped living together, and my family chose to take out their unresolved burning curiousity to know what happened on me. Thanks, guys. It happened again at Mother's Day, too. They nitpicked at everything I was doing, and even made fun of me for how long it was taking to get my degree.

Hey, at least I'm /getting/ a flipping degree. I could become a socially acceptable person by going out an partying all the time, spending money I don't have, and dropping out of school to become a waitress. And marrying a barmaid named Stella and leaving the group. >>

So yeah, I got another job for the summer, this time as a hostess. Snap. It's boring as hell. The highlight of my day was when my friends decided to come to the restaurant after I was off. It was that boring. Thank god the guy I know who works there is working today, or I think I might explode of boredom.
